Kimbro gets three stars because they showed up on time and installed a new system which is generally comfortable. However, I don't appear to be realizing any of the proposed energy savings. I give them a lower rating because I requested a high efficiency system and let my sales person know I was interested in the new federal tax credits. My salesperson wrote out an entirely illegible order (perhaps on purpose) so I couldn't research the specific models numbers. That should have been red flag #1. Anyway fast forward a year and it appears that my fancy new 18 SEER Daikin system does not qualify for ANY federal tax credit as it is not even energy star compliant. Kimbro is a Daikin vendor so I suppose they have to work with what they have, but I would advise running not walking to your nearest Trane dealer if you are interested in a high efficiency system.
